Only qualified Design Draftsman candidates located near the Richmond, VA area to be considered due to the position requiring an onsite presence***
Bachelor’s/associate degree in a technology related discipline
Minimum of 2 years of relative experience in the power generation industry desired
• Demonstrated MicroStation and/or AutoCAD proficiency
• Proficiency in drawing and document management systems (ProjectWise & Documentum preferred)
• Ability to manage project workloads with minimal direction.
• Ability to adapt to changes in project scope and schedules.
Working as a part of the Customer Account Management team candidates will assist the company’s residential customers with basic to complex residential inquiries
• Prepare electrical drawings in support of power generation engineering projects per corporate standards
• General electrical design support for the power generation fleet (i.e. equipment, cable/raceway, and drawing number support)
• Maintain drawing records per corporate and compliance policies
• Coordinate site visits and perform field work, as necessary
Seeking a highly engaged, team-oriented individual with a working background in computer aided drafting principles
• This role creates, and updates drawings used in electrical construction packages (i.e. single lines, wiring diagrams, plan drawings…etc.)
• This role maintains supplemental project documentation including cable schedules and vendor cut sheets
• This position may require occasional site visits and other related tasks to meet project needs
• This position reports to a Supervisor of Design and Documentation and functions as an intermediate level draftsman for the electrical design group
