We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced EHS Specialist to join our team in the engineering industry. As a Permanent EHS Specialist, you will be responsible for ensuring that our company complies with all federal and state employment laws, CMS, OSHA, and TJC regulatory compliance. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in environmental health and safety, hazard identification and assessment, and control techniques. This is a permanent, full-time position with competitive compensation and benefits.
Responsibilities:Develop and implement safety programs and policies to ensure compliance with federal and state regulationsConduct safety audits, inspections, and assessments to identify hazards and develop corrective actionsDevelop and implement training programs for employees on safety policies and proceduresInvestigate accidents and incidents to determine root causes and develop corrective actions to prevent future occurrencesDevelop and maintain safety records and reports to ensure compliance with regulatory requirementsCollaborate with management and employees to promote a culture of safety and environmental awarenessKeep up-to-date with changes in regulations and industry best practices to ensure compliance and continuous improvement
Qualifications:Bachelor's degree in Environmental Health and Safety, Industrial Hygiene, or related field2+ years of experience in EHS in a manufacturing or engineering industryExtensive knowledge of federal and state employment law, CMS, OSHA, and TJC regulatory complianceExperience with hazard identification and assessment and control techniquesKnowledge of OSHA regulations and plant safetyStrong communication, analytical, and problem-solving skillsAbility to work independently and as part of a teamProfessional certification in EHS is a plus
