real estate accounting experience , with

non-profit exposure

considered a strong plus.Key Responsibilities:Lead financial reporting for tax credit and operating companies, ensuring timely and accurate monthly financial statements.Prepare and analyze quarterly board reports, providing insights and supporting schedules for executive review.Develop and manage the annual corporate budget; conduct quarterly variance reviews and report findings to leadership.Serve as the primary liaison for external audits and tax filings, ensuring timely and accurate deliverables.Monitor and recommend operating cash needs, credit line usage, and payroll funding strategies.Oversee voucher and collection processes to ensure timely reimbursement of government contracts and efficient cash flow management.Manage construction disbursements and accounting for acquisitions, property sales, and conversions.Ensure the efficiency of accounts payable cycles and maintain vendor payment processes.Mentor and lead the finance team, directly supervising the Director of Accounting and Manager of Financial Reporting.Develop and update accounting procedures to maintain compliance with government and audit standards.Qualifications:Bachelor’s degree in Accounting required; CPA or MS preferred but not required.10+ years of accounting and financial management experience with

real estate/property management

or

non-profit

accounting.Strong leadership and team management experience.Deep understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting requirements.Proficiency in

Excel
