We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Outside Sales / Account Executive to join our team in the industrial sector, focusing on selling complex, high-value products to clients in heavy industries such as steel, aluminum, and paper/pulp. This position requires an individual with experience in outside sales, B2B industrial selling, and the ability to manage a flexible schedule and travel extensively to meet clients and close deals. As a member of a small, dynamic team, you will be responsible for driving sales, managing client relationships, and building a strong pipeline of business.

Job Details

Job Title: Account Manager / Account ExecutiveLocation: Remote (50-60% travel in your territory)Work Hours: 8:00am – 5:00pm (Flexible hours; target-driven with a focus on getting the job done)

Key Responsibilities:Manage your own sales schedule, prioritizing client meetings and sales presentationsPresent and pitch complex industrial products, including tension load cells, stressometers, and related equipmentDevelop and deliver pitch decks, create quotes, and ensure contract negotiations lead to signed dealsFocus on custom sales in a highly competitive environment, targeting new business and competing against industry rivalsSell products in the range of $2,000 to $200,000, including tension load cells, edge detection, width detection systems, and specialized equipment for steel, aluminum, and paper/pulp industriesMaintain relationships with existing clients while hunting for new opportunities, particularly in the Southern U.S.Achieve annual sales quotas of $3.5 to $4 millionCollaborate with a small team, contributing to overall team sales of $12-15 million annuallyUse Salesforce or similar CRM tools to track sales activities and manage leads

Required Skills & Qualifications:Proven experience in outside sales, particularly B2B industrial salesStrong technical background in industrial sales, with a focus on products like tension load cells, edge detection, and similar industrial solutionsAbility to manage a sales pipeline, including prospecting, cold calling, and nurturing client relationshipsExcellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to explain complex technical products to clientsAbility to work independently, managing a flexible schedule and prioritizing client needsExperience in selling to industries such as steel, aluminum, or paper/pulp is highly preferredStrong understanding of custom sales (selling against competition) as opposed to consumable salesSales experience in industries such as steel, aluminum, paper, or pulp is idealEngineering background (industrial, mechanical, or related) is a plusExperience using Salesforce or similar CRM software is a plusAbility to travel up to 60% and meet clients in-person frequentlyMust be results-driven and comfortable with a high level of autonomy

Preferred Territories:Danbury, CT (Northeast Territory): Primarily metal/steel, with some paper/pulpPittsburgh, PA (Northeast Territory): Primarily metal/steel, with some paper/pulpWisconsin (Midwest Territory): Primarily paper/pulp, with some steel/metal
