Job Details

We are currently seeking a Senior Mechanical Engineer to join our progressive team in the energy industry. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in the design, development, and implementation of various mechanical systems related to our energy production and distribution processes. This position offers a unique opportunity to work on innovative projects that contribute to the future of energy.

Responsibilities:Lead the development and execution of engineering design projects in the energy sector, particularly involving pipelines and terminals.Utilize your expertise in hydraulic systems to design and optimize energy generation and distribution systems.Conduct reliability analysis of mechanical systems to identify potential risks and develop strategies to mitigate them.Develop and interpret Process Flow Diagrams (PFDs) and Piping and Instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs) to ensure efficient and safe operations.Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of mechanical systems into overall project designs.Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers, fostering an environment of continuous learning and improvement.Stay abreast of industry trends and advancements in mechanical engineering and energy production technologies.Ensure all engineering projects, initiatives, and processes are in conformance with the organization’s established policies and objectives.

Qualifications:A Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field is required. A Master's degree or professional engineering (PE) license is preferred.A minimum of 5 years of experience in mechanical engineering within the energy industry, with a focus on engineering design, pipeline systems, terminals, and hydraulic systems.Proven experience in reliability analysis and the development and interpretation of PFDs and P&IDs.Strong technical skills, with a thorough understanding of engineering principles and technologies.Exceptional problem-solving abilities, with a knack for thinking creatively to overcome engineering challenges.Excellent communication skills, with the ability to explain complex concepts to non-engineers.Strong leadership abilities, with a track record of guiding and mentoring junior engineers.Proficiency in using computer-aided design (CAD) software and other engineering tools.A commitment to staying updated on the latest advancements in the field of mechanical engineering and energy production.
