We are currently seeking an experienced Family Law Associate Attorney to join our growing team.

Job Description:

The Family Law Associate Attorney will be responsible for managing a caseload of family law matters, including divorce, custody, child and spousal support, property division, and other domestic relations cases. The candidate must be licensed to practice law in Virginia and possess at least 3 years of experience in family law. Trial experience or prior clerkship is a plus.

Key Responsibilities:

Represent clients in family law matters, including divorce, custody, child support, spousal support, and property divisionConduct legal research and draft pleadings, motions, and legal documentsAttend court hearings, depositions, and mediationsProvide counsel to clients and develop case strategiesNegotiate settlements and collaborate with opposing counselManage client relationships with professionalism, empathy, and clear communicationStay current on developments in family law and Virginia-specific legislation

Qualifications:

Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law schoolMust be admitted to practice law in VirginiaMinimum of 3 years of family law experience, with an emphasis on litigationStrong legal research and writing skillsExcellent verbal and written communication abilitiesProven ability to handle a high volume of cases and work independentlyTrial experience or prior clerkship experience preferredStrong organizational skills and attention to detailAbility to work in a fast-paced environment and manage deadlines effectively

Preferred Skills:

Experience with complex family law cases, including high-net-worth divorces, contested custody battles, and prenuptial agreementsFamiliarity with Virginia family law procedures and local court rulesMediation and negotiation experience
