Job Details

We are seeking an Accountant to join our law firm in Pittsburgh.

You will report to the Controller and be heavily involved in account reconciliations and report generation.

The ideal candidate will have 2+ years of experience.

Responsibilities:

Assist Controller with maintaining general ledger including monthly journal entries.Complete account balancing, bank reconciliation, and month and year end closings.Maintain daily cash activity worksheet, maintain cash flow forecast, monitor cash levels and identify and review non-compliance issues with the Controller.Perform monthly reconciliations of all bank accounts. Investigate and resolve variances in a timely manner.Prepare financial and statistical reports, profitability analysis, and workpapers for annual review.Analyze account data, provide reports, track internal metrics and other key data components to identify and address discrepancies, trends, and potential areas of improvement.Manage monthly health benefit invoice reconciliation process to submit to accounts payable for premium payments.Work with HR Director to resolve benefit reconciliation questions.Provide support for departments during the budget planning and execution processes.Support tax reporting.

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field3+ years of experience in accounting, preferably within the legal industry.Proficient in generating detailed and accurate financial reports.Strong knowledge of financial regulations and accounting processes.Exceptional analytical skills with a keen eye for detail.Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to clearly explain complex financial information.Proficient in using Microsoft Office Suite.Experience with Paylocity system administration, or similar, is a plus.
