Manufacturing Prep Technician

Position Summary:

Assist in multiple areas of manufacturing, based on daily project demand. Activities include but are not limited to, preparing and setting materials for welders, assembly of product, or operational testing.

Core Roles:

• Effectively prepare materials for welding personnel
• Ensure product meets design intent during assembly

Essential Job Functions:

• Preparation activities include cutting, drilling, and setting materials in place
• Move project components with the use of team lifts, forklift and overhead cranes

• Assemble per product assembly drawings
• Setup and operational testing when required

• Other duties as assigned

Basic Qualifications

• A minimum of 2 years education and/or work experience beyond high school in a manufacturing environment
• Ability to work with tools in the production area, including hand tools, power tools and production equipment
• Read and interpret general and assembly drawings

Preferred Qualifications:

• Previous experience operating a forklift

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to lift and walk with loads up to 50 lbs.
• Ability to stand for the entire duration of the scheduled shift
