The integration of new third party partners onto T-Mobile’s network, and the ongoing delivery of capabilities and functionality are critical to continued success of the business. T-Mobile strives to continuously add customer value to its service through increased flexibility and scale of platform capabilities and expanded set of valuable services to complement provisioning and connectivity on the fastest and most reliable 5G network. This Director will lead teams in planning, development, and implementation of network and value-added services ensuring an industry leading customer experience through partner and vendor management to fulfill contract obligations related to billing and service performance and planning for adequate capacity to support the Wholesale business.Job Responsibilities :Strategy and VisionUnderstand customer needs and business strategies, generating new ideas and developing product strategy that aligns with T-Mobile's goals.Create, own, and lead a portfolio of impactful customer offerings through a lifecycle of envisioning, investing, and innovating.Define key performance indicators and metrics to measure product performance and drive innovation.Develop change management and communications plans, and implement initiatives connected with customer change initiatives.Regularly cascade vision, strategy, and goal-based communications from executive leadership to the team.Business & Technical ExecutionOversee and control a budget of capex/opex $50M+.Regularly provide review and guidance to Product Management team on execution related responsibilities including Product Backlog structure and prioritization, process, Participation in Big Room (Program Increment) planning, and other major Agile sessions and ceremonies, Customer reviews and demos, and Customer and Leadership level communications.Foster strong working relationships with high dependency delivery teams outside of reporting vertical (Engineering and other IT teams outside immediate reporting structure).Support team responses to customer or leadership critical issues, as appropriate.Drive cost out of systems operations and maintain critical technology roadmaps in place to continue to adapt to new technologies.Lead and direct the continual improvement of enterprise-scale services, processes and tools.Ensure effective collaboration between Business, Engineering and IT teams.Assist the team with ongoing prioritization and resource allocation to ensure scope and outcomes are delivered.Develop and implement staff and operations model to support systems for efficient, continuous availability.Create and implement key vendor contracts as owner.Handle key (larger scale) vendor relationships and delivery accountabilities.Drive appropriate response and support to identify root cause, resolve production defects and issues.Leadership and CoachingAttract, hire, and retain a high-performing team of Product Managers, Platform Managers, and other product management staff.Provide mentorship, direction, and leadership to team members, ensuring their development and success.Foster a culture of continuous improvement and innovation across Agile teams.Cross-functional CollaborationWork cross-functionally with customer groups, IT, Engineering, Retail, and Customer Service teams to identify opportunities and ensure alignment on critical initiatives.Lead and improve cross-functional processes to ensure on-time delivery of systems improvements and new systems requirements.Qualifications :10+ years of experience leading teams in product management focused on business customers and partnership management.Bachelor’s Degree; Masters Preferred.Deep understanding of the product development lifecycle from ideation to launch and Agile methodologies.Experience with wireless telecommunications technologies (e.g., GSM/GPRS, LTE, 5G).Knowledge of cloud network architecture and standards.Experience in implementing and managing standardization (e.g. TFM, CAMARA APIs).Ability to develop and implement product strategies that align with business goals.Visionary mentality to foresee market trends and customer needs.Proficiency in Agile methodologies and overseeing product backlogs.Mindful of customer needs and the ability to translate them into product requirements.Strong commitment to delivering exceptional customer experiences.Skills & Abilities :Ability to communicate effectively across team and organizational boundaries to drive and develop consensus.Strong leadership and team-building skills, with experience coaching, mentoring, and developing talent.Excellent strategic thinking and problem-solving abilities.Ability to lead cross-functional teams and handle complex projects.Strong communication and presentation skills.Listen and understand a variety of points of view balancing concerns with data for better decision making.Analytical problem solver; The successful candidate’s actual pay will be based on various factors, such as qualifications and experience, so the actual starting pay will vary within this range.
