PositionThe Head of Vendor Payments is responsible for overseeing the firm’s accounts payable operations, ensuring timely and accurate processing of vendor invoices and payments. This individual will manage a team, maintain strong vendor relationships, and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and compliance. The client is looking for a Head of Vendor Payments who is highly motivated, excited to lead a team, and become a part of a growing organization with a reputation for delivering excellence to its clients for generations.ResponsibilitiesManagement and development of direct reports (3) and accountability for staff contributionsOversee vendor payable process and T&E reimbursements facilitated through SAP Concur and Microsoft D365 treasury automation suite, identifying opportunities for further process efficienciesDevelop and implement policies and procedures to streamline payment processesOversee timely completion of balance sheet reconciliations including but not limited to cashOversight of Corporate Card programResponsible for cash disbursements including but not limited to payroll funding, taxes, and off-cycle vendor paymentsManage year-end 1099 filingsDevelop and lead trainings related to vendor payments and T&E best practices for the firmImplement best practices to reduce errors and enhance internal controlsInteract with stakeholders across the firm to assist with accounting and payable inquiries and requestsAd hoc projects as necessary, including evaluating Concur against alternatives as the right vendor payable platform for the company given the growth and scale of the firm
