job summary:
Our client is seeking a highly motivated PLC Tech to support the development and validation of manufacturing equipment.
1 year contract with possible extensions
Required:
- Associate's degree in a technical field, trade school certification, or at least 3+ years of relevant technical experience .
- Minimum 2 years of experience with PLC programming (Toyopuc, Allen Bradley, Omron, or Siemens).
- Ability to read and interpret mechanical and electrical drawings.
- 50% travel , both domestically and internationally.
- up to 25% overtime , including potential 12-hour shifts, weekends, and holidays.
Plus if you have:
- Knowledge of Kawasaki or Fanuc industrial robots for part transfer or auto-tightening applications.
- Familiarity with Keyence or other vision system setup and integration.
- Experience with Autonomous Mobile Robots (AMRs), Automated Guided Vehicles (AGVs), and AGV Traffic Control systems .

responsibilities:
- Assist Production Engineering, Vehicle Manufacturing Engineering ,Battery Pack Assembly team in developing equipment
- Help establish equipment specifications to ensure compliance with standards.
- Participate in developing and verifying equipment machine risk assessments.
- Conduct equipment inspections to confirm safety, electrical, and mechanical design integrity.
- Verify equipment, conveyor systems, and logistics hardware for individual cell and zone safety interlocks.
- Support equipment validation during vendor buy-off trials and broader zone trials.
- Assist with equipment adjustments to meet safety, quality, and productivity objectives.
