Job Description
The Project Director is responsible for leading and executing on strategic projects, ensuring they align with organizational goals and deliver value. This role involves developing comprehensive strategies, implementing programs including training, overseeing resource allocation, and managing risks to ensure timely and successful project completion. The Project Director mentors team members, fostering collaboration and professional growth. Additionally, this position cultivates trusted relationships with influential stakeholders across the organization, having a pivotal role in achieving excellent results. This position is crucial for driving the organization's success in executing strategic initiatives.Responsibilities

Lead and execute multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and objectives.Communicate effectively and collaborate with stakeholders across the organization.Review and interpret data to make informed business decisions.Monitor performance metrics to track and report on project progress.Oversee resource allocation.Mentor and develop team members.Foster a collaborative environment that encourages innovation and high performance.Develop, implement, and oversee programs including, but not limited to, training that enhance employee skills and support organizational goals.Other duties and projects, as assigned.Requirements

Education

Bachelor's Degree, preferredWork Experience

5 years experience in third-party logistics, preferred5 years experience in a leadership position in Account Management, Customer Operations, Carrier Sales, Customer Sales, or a related field, preferredComputer Skills

Advanced experience with transportation management software, shipper platforms, and pricing toolsProficient in Microsoft Office SuiteAdditional Requirements

Ability to align business initiatives with customer account strategy to achieve goalsAbility to prioritize workload and manage multiple customer accountsAnalytical mindset with the ability to interpret data and make informed decisionsDeep understanding of the freight marketEffective communication skills, both written and verbalEffective sales and negotiation skillsExceptional organizational skillsProven ability to develop truckload strategy and drive customer account growthProven experience spot quoting and successfully utilizing pricing toolsStrong problem-solving skills and critical thinking abilitySound decision-making abilitiesDiligent at driving operational efficienciesProven ability to effectively manage and develop leaders and individual contributorsOther Details

Compensation:

Pay Range: $104,000-$130,000 salary (Amount listed is the base range for Chicago, IL and may differ by location)This is a salary position paid biweekly.Variable compensation is includedLocation:
