ManagementThis is a temporary position.We are looking for a Director, Identity Product (FLEX) to join the Global Intelligence Products (GIP) organization and lead our data strategy & management for digital identity data needs. This pivotal role centers on crafting data strategies to refine digital identity resolution and foster personalized customer experiences. The Director will drive digital identity requirements for the company's media needs across all paid & owned channels, focusing on effective customer data collection, curation, and activation to enable prioritized use cases for revenue growth.In this position, you will design and implement a cutting-edge proprietary identity spine utilizing both Marriott’s first-party and third-party vendor data to enhance customer identification and expand audience reach. Collaborating closely with cross-functional teams in marketing, digital, and technology, you will be responsible for evolving the identity graph, leveraging advanced technologies such as cloud data warehouses, data cleanroom partnerships, and customer data platforms (CDPs).As a high-visibility leader, you will work directly with executive teams across Business Intelligence, Marketing, and Digital to ensure alignment on digital identity strategy and deliver impactful results.CANDIDATE PROFILEEducation and Experience Required:4-year degree from an accredited university in Data Analytics, Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or a similar quantitative discipline, with 6+ years of experience demonstrating progressive career growth and a history of exceptional performance in data management, identity resolution, and marketing technology OR 4+ years of experience in data management, identity resolution, and analytics with a Master's degree.Proven expertise in designing and engineering complex data flows for identity & audience development with proficiency in privacy and compliance related to personal data.Extensive experience in defining and executing transformational strategies for digital identity, including working with both terrestrial and digital identifiers to enhance customer identification and reach.In-depth knowledge and hands-on experience with leading identity vendors (e.g., LiveRamp, TransUnion, Merkle, Experian, Acxiom etc.) and their platforms for identity resolution and data activation.Strong understanding of marketing technologies, customer data platforms (CDP), identity graphs, cloud data warehouses (e.g., Snowflake, AWS), and data cleanroom partnerships.Proven ability to deliver impactful results while managing complex, high-stakes initiatives with ambiguity and cross-functional collaboration.Strong leadership skills with a track record of working closely with marketing, digital, and technology teams to drive data strategy and innovation.CORE WORK ACTIVITIESPrimary Leadership Activities:Provide leadership, consulting, and information expertise to achieve the goals for Identity & Customer.Identity Infrastructure: Work with MarTech and IT teams to develop and deploy an effective identity & data infrastructure.Contribute to data strategy, data management, and enhanced data products for use by the Marketing discipline.Oversee the broader data strategy and effectively prioritize implementation tactics for media data to ensure they are in line with overall organizational goals and long-term business strategies.Work closely with the marketing and analytics teams to identify key performance indicators (KPIs) and data requirements necessary for optimizing segmentation strategies and enhancing ROI.Manage vendors/technical staff to build the infrastructure to support data & reporting solutions in AWS, Snowflake, Adobe etc.Oversee development of systems and technologies that reduce manual processes and data quality issues relating to data capture.Partner with Analytics and IT to build Data Management, Analytics and Reporting roadmaps for future years.Partner with business leadership to secure funding for critical Data Management & IT programs.Managing Responsibilities with Stakeholders:Develop and maintain effective relationships with both internal and external stakeholders across the organization.Update stakeholders on key initiative wins and opportunities, respond to concerns, and solicit feedback.Assist direct reports with building and maintaining stakeholder relationships as business partnerships.Managing Profitability:Analyze service issues and identify trends.Work with teams to develop an operational strategy that is aligned with the brand’s business strategy and leads its execution.Review and audit expenses.Managing Revenue Goals:Monitor performance against budget.Review reports and financial statements to determine operations’ performance against budget.Coach and support team to manage expenses and controllable expenses.Managing and Conducting Human Resources Activities:Interview and hire employees.Promote the fair and equitable treatment of employees.Foster employee commitment to providing excellent service, participate in daily stand-up meetings and model desired service behaviors in all interactions with customers and employees.Incorporate customer satisfaction as a component of staff/operations meetings with an emphasis on generating innovative ways to continually improve results.Set goals and expectations for direct reports using the performance review process and hold staff accountable for performance goals.Solicit employee feedback.Utilize an “open door policy” and review employee satisfaction results to identify and address employee problems or concerns.Promote adherence to policies consistently, follow disciplinary procedures and document items according to Standard and Local Operating Procedures (SOPs and LSOPs) and support the Peer Review Process.Conduct annual performance appraisal with direct reports according to Standard Operating Procedures.Champion change ensures brand and regional business initiatives are implemented and communicate follow-up actions to team as necessary.Identify talents of direct reports and their teams and assist with their growth and
