OverviewThe Garage General Manager is responsible for managing daily operations. The Manager must always aim to exceed the expectations of the client, visitors, and guests. The Manager must ensure that all team members are exceeding expectations.The Manager will lead by example through the following ways:Provide tremendous support for VPNE teamCoaching with kindnessProfessionalism and IntegritySharp appearanceStrong organization and work ethicExcellent communicationAvailabilityTeam LeadershipCollaboration with client(s)ResponsibilitiesEssential Functions may include, but are not limited to:Garage OperationsCulture of SafetyService = Impressive team members and Proactive Ambassador operationAppearance of Team and Cleanliness of GarageExceptional Customer Service! We are All Ambassadors!Garage Staffing ScheduleManage Garage Staff Scheduling & Timesheets, and position coverage daily and per weekOther projects and assignments as business dictatesStaff Management:Recruit, train, supervise, and support staff.Conduct performance evaluations and provide ongoing coaching and feedback.Foster a positive and collaborative work environment.Ensure prompt investigation and resolution of complaints and incidents related to service delivery and in compliance with VPNE and client’s policy.Partner with Human Resources to ensure various policies, procedures, laws, standards, and government regulations are being correctly implemented.Garage Revenue ControlEnsure proper revenue handling procedures (Office Safes, Pay Station, and Parking management system).Ensure proper Exception & Pulse Log procedures.Perform routine garage revenue/integrity audits, including with appropriate revenue manager.Adhere to VPNE’s Revenue Controls Policy.Parking Equipment and Facilities Problems or ImprovementsUpkeep and observation, troubleshooting and maintenance, and reporting to Management and Client.Propose necessary upgrades and system enhancements.Maintain 5-year capital planning plan.Manage repairs and work orders as necessary with onsite client contacts and outside vendors to ensure full facility functionality is always at optimal levels.Timely reporting of problems.Budgets/ReportingClient monthly reports & Client packages.Daily DCR & Deposit Log.Monthly DCR reconciliations.Monthly Validations Report to Client - detailed logs for voucher distributions and orders.Produce annual budgets and adhere to budget.Ad Hoc reports.ClientUnderstand “Client’s Definition of Success,” deliver it and present it in a very impressive manner.Build relationships with onsite client customers, vendors, and the overall hospital community we serve with the utmost professionalism and care.Team CultureLead a positive, encouraging, and supportive culture and work environment where people are clearly cared for and developed for growth opportunities within VPNE.Develop leadership skills to promote advancement opportunities for teams and overall success of the operations/customers and clients alike.Major Challenges:Problem-solving.Difficult customers.Conflicts among team members.Patience.QualificationsFlexibility to manage and support events and special functions.Ability to organize and prioritize work.5 years of direct staff management experience, service industry preferred.5 years of revenue control experience with a retail bank, cashiers & multiple points of service.Experience with Amano McGann Parking Software.Experience with parking gate and loop systems.Ability to effectively communicate with client and VPNE management.Be able to drive operational, marketing, and financial strategies to ensure maximum service and profitability.Ability to effectively communicate with a wide range of employees, as well as motivate and provide constructive feedback.Computer literate including Word, Excel, and Outlook and ability to quickly learn new software.Capable of handling a range of employee relations issues and follow progressive steps of discipline.Function independently within company guidelines.Must be proactive, customer-focused, and responsive.Excellent Driver with Active Driver’s License.Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or equivalent experience in a related field preferred.Certification, Registration, or Licensure required by the JobValid Driver’s License.Benefits:Paid weekly.Medical, Dental, Vision.401K with company match.Discount programs.Short-term disability.Accident insurance.Life insurance.VPNE is a family-owned, fun, and rapidly growing company headquartered in the Greater Boston Area.
