Chief Accounting OfficerOur client, a rapidly growing home services company located in the western suburbs of Chicago, is looking for a Chief Accounting Officer to join their finance team. The ideal candidate will bring a solid accounting foundation, with expertise in financial reporting, internal controls, and regulatory compliance. This role calls for a visionary leader with exceptional team-building abilities and a collaborative approach across functions.This job in a nutshell:Oversee all accounting functions, including financial reporting, internal controls, and compliance with regulations.Ensure timely and accurate consolidated financial reporting in line with GAAP and other requirements.Manage the annual audit process, liaising with external auditors and tax service providers to ensure tax compliance and optimization.Lead the development of a centralized accounting function to streamline processes and enhance efficiency.Build and mentor a high-performing accounting team, supporting growth and strategic goals.Implement internal controls and accounting policies to protect company assets.Manage treasury activities, including cash flow forecasting, debt compliance, and banking relationships.Oversee M&A accounting integration, ensuring seamless transition of acquired entities.Collaborate with FP&A on budgeting and forecasting to provide financial insights.Prepare for liquidity events, ensuring the company is ready to meet obligations and seize opportunities.We are looking for (key requirements):Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance15+ years of experience and has held accounting leadership role for $200 million+ PE-backed organizationCPAPublic Accounting experienceLed centralization or build out of team and functionAbility to work in a fast-paced environmentWhat's in it for you:Company is experiencing rapid growthNewly created role to build out centralized team and function and taking ownership of accounting, reporting, treasury, and other key areasCompensation:
