  • BLS/BCLS
    Job Details
  • Our patients LOS averages 11 days so we get to really know them and their families.
  • There is a large team approach with PT, OT, SP and our providers.
  • Top Diagnosis/Procedures: CVA, other neuro, debility, amputation, complicated orthopedic/hip fx.
  • Common Medications: tylenol, insulin, narcotics, HTN meds, metformin.
  • Common Equipment: ceiling lifts, slide boards, walkers, wheelchairs, gait belts, commodes.
  • Nurse to Patient Ratio: Typically 1:6 but may be higher at times. Nurse must be willing to take a 1:8 ratio when needed. This is not the normal, but can happen at times.
  • Floating: Infrequent as we are a small unit we need 2 nurses at all times. However, nurses must be willing to float to MS units when needed.
    Job Requirements
  • Required: IV Insertion, PICC/Central Line Management
  • Preferred: PA Line Management, Vascular Device Access/Care, Dialysis Fistula Care/Management, A-Line Management, CVP, iABP
  • Required: Obtain 12 Lead EKG, Remote Tele, Cardioversion/Defibrillation
  • Preferred: Tele Interpretation, Sheath Removal, Epicardial Pacer Management
  • Required: CPAP/BiPAP
  • Preferred: Trach Care
  • Required: Feeding Tubes, Wound Vac
  • Preferred: Traction, CPM, Epidural/PCA Pumps, Chemo Administration
  • Preferred: Exp. w/Chemical Dependency, Exp. w/Eating Disorders, ECT/TMS or other Brain Stimulation Therapies
    Schedule Information
  • Effective 01.08.2024 - 16 Hours of Unpaid Orientation
  • For roles with a guarantee, Boone Health can call off staff for up to 36 hours in a contract
