  • The weekday call is from 1600-0730 the next morning.
  • Weekend call starts at 1600 on Friday until 0730 on Monday.
  • Most staff works 10 hours shifts - shifts vary.

  • Unit Specifics: Number of Beds: 4 holding, 4 observation, 3 procedural rooms
  • Patient Ratios: depends on if you are working in the procedural room or in holding. 3 people per team in procedural for 1 patient, generally 2 patients per nurse in holding (not for techs)
  • Unit staffing description: 1 unit coordinator, 5 RCIS/Tech, 7 RNs. Not all members are in each day. Generally about 9-10 staff members are scheduled daily
  • Type of equipment: GE xray system, GE hemodynamics, Meditech documentation. Many different types of procedural equipment
  • Documentation system: Meditech
  • Scheduling requirements: 5 days/week (8 Hr days) & call generally 10 days/month for call
  • Floating policy: if no cases, may be asked to float – this is rare
  • Patient Experience requirements: cath lab experience is preferred. For travel staff this is a requirement.
  • Procedures performed on unit: cardiac caths – PCI, STEMI, peripheral angiograms & interventions, implants – PPM/ICD/CRT-D, EP studies & ablations.
    Job Requirements
  • Proper schooling/degree.
  • RCIS certification must be obtained within 1 year of hire.
  • Must have ACLS/BLS certification.
  • Must be state licensed in New Hampshire.
    Schedule Information
  • 5 days/week (8 Hr days) & call generally 10 days/month for call.
