CT/X-Ray Technologist- Overnights

Schedule/Shifts: Full-Time, M-Thurs 11:00pm - 7:00am. Can also do four 10-hour shifts M-Thurs if 40 hours is preferred. No on-call or holidays!

Location: Hospital/Clinic settings in Alexandria, MN.

Pay rate: Up to $85/hour, depending on experience, plus $4,000 completion bonus. (Comes out to roughly $3,700/week)

*This is considered a temporary assignment that is expected to last around 13 weeks, potentially longer! 

*Potential for CT Training for the right X-Ray Tech candidates without that prior experience!

Position Summary:

The technologist will be performing X-Rays and CT scans for the ED and any STAT inpatient requests. The technologist will utilize equipment including Siemens Somatom Definition, Siemens Biograph mCT, Siemens Multix Impact and Carestream.

What we ask of you:

• Screen patients before exam for any precautions or contradictions pertaining to the examination.
• Prepares patients for CT procedures, explaining the procedure, and positioning patient's body parts appropriately.
• Perform routine and advanced CT procedures on designated portions of the body used by physicians to diagnose and treat a patient's illness/injury with minimal supervision while providing patient support throughout the procedure. Adjust CT scan parameters and dose reduction techniques as needed.
• Maintain a positive attitude and working relationships with radiology team, follow physician instructions precisely, and accurately maintain patient records within Radiology Information System (RIS).
• Maintain a clean work area promoting good safety habits for patients and co-workers, and maintain equipment in good working order, clean and disinfect after each use.
• Maintain ACR toolkit and accreditation requirements, and ensure compliance with all HIPAA guidelines.
• Assist with maintaining an updated CT protocol manual and software upgrades, and monitor medical supply inventory and request supplies as necessary.
• All other duties as assigned.

What we require of you:

• ARRT certification, current and in good standing.
• Graduate of an American Medical Association (AMA) approved school of radiography.
• Current Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certification.
• Experience and comfort utilizing CT equipment/techniques is preferred (Siemens Somatom Definition, Siemens Biograph mCT, Siemens Multix Impact, Carestream Portable X-Ray unit).
• IV competency is preferred but not required.
• CT certification is preferred.
• Bilingual preferred but not required.
