Job Title: Registered Nurse (RN) CCU - Coronary Care

North Mississippi Health Services is seeking a skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse (RN) to join our team in Verona, Mississippi.

Clinical Practice:

• Utilizes the nursing process to provide high-quality patient care and maintain accurate documentation.
• Ensures compliance with all North Mississippi Health Services policies and requirements as directed by the Nurse Manager and Educator.

Education:

• Delivers effective patient/family education and serves as a resource for existing staff and new employees.
• Participates in the Preceptor program to ensure proper training of new employees.

Communication:

• Maintains open communication with multidisciplinary team members to provide comprehensive patient care.
• Attends daily huddles on each unit to ensure efficient assignments and identify team members for the shift.

Customer Relations:

• Projects a caring, friendly, and helpful image to patients and other customers.
• Utilizes the patient's communication board (white board) to keep patients and families informed about name, date, goals, staff, and procedures or tests for the day.
• Complies with North Mississippi Health Services behavioral standards.

Self-Development:

• Maintains competency by staying up-to-date on changing trends in nursing practice.
• Attends annual review and unit-specific sessions within the department.
• Completes required continuing education hours online and in-classroom.

Regulatory Knowledge:

• Complies with regulatory and accrediting agency requirements.
• Holds current licensure by the Board of Nursing for the state.

Licenses/Certifications:

• RN - Registered Nurse - State Licensure and/or Compact State Licensure
• Must be licensed to practice as a RN in the state of MS
• Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR)
• Must maintain a current AHA CPR Certification
• ACLS
• Requirement is dependent on hiring department
• TB Certified
• Is dependent on hiring department
• PALS - Pediatric Advanced Life Support
• Requirement is dependent on hiring department
• ASLS Certified for Emergency Room
• NIH - National Institute of Health Stroke Scale Certification
• Requirement for Emergency Room
