Responsibilities: - Prepare and serve high-quality espresso-based drinks, specialty coffee, and teas following precise recipes and presentation standards in addition to serving cakes and pastries.
- Operate and maintain espresso machines, grinders, and brewing equipment to ensure peak performance.
- Provide warm, professional, and engaging customer service, guiding guests through coffee selections and menu pairings.
- Ensure consistency in flavor, temperature, and quality control of all beverages served.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the coffee station, ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations.
- Monitor inventory levels of coffee beans, syrups, dairy, and non-dairy alternatives, assisting in restocking as needed.
- Support opening and closing procedures, including cleaning and prepping the barista station for the next shift.
- Collaborate with the front-of-house team to provide seamless service during busy hours.
Qualifications: - Previous experience as a barista making specialty coffees in bar or restaurant .
- Strong knowledge of espresso extraction, milk steaming techniques, and latte art.
- Passion for coffee and a willingness to learn about new brewing methods and specialty coffees.
- Ability to multitask efficiently while maintaining a positive and guest-focused attitude.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Familiarity with POS systems and handling transactions accurately.
- Ability to work flexible shifts, including mornings, weekends, and holidays.
- A food handler’s certification (or willingness to obtain one) is a plus.
