About the Position:
Xiquet by Danny Lledó, Washington D.C.’s Michelin-starred destination for fine Valencian cuisine, is seeking a dedicated and talented Pastry Chef to join our world-class culinary team. Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with the Chef de cuisine to execute and refine dessert menus and bread programs.
- Prepare and present intricate, high-quality desserts and pastries that align with the restaurant’s Michelin-starred standards.
- Uphold consistency, accuracy, and efficiency in every aspect of pastry production.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of pastry and prep areas, adhering to all health and safety standards.
- Contribute creative ideas to the development of new pastry offerings.
- Work collaboratively with the kitchen team to ensure seamless execution of service.
Requirements:
- Previous experience in pastry or dessert preparation, ideally in a fine dining or Michelin-starred setting.
- A strong work ethic and commitment to mastering the art of pastry.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to work from the afternoon and continuing through the evening.
- A passion for creating memorable dining experiences through dessert and pastry.
