Job Description
OverviewSeeking an Analytical Chemist to support our client's lab testing needs with 2+ years of experience.
NOTE: This position is expected to last 6 months with a possible extension to 12 months
Job DescriptionOrganizes and conducts routine analyses independently and in compliance with applicable methods, protocols, SOPs and regulatory agency guidelinesDocuments work and maintains study documentation and laboratory recordsIndependently able to use and perform basic troubleshooting of laboratory equipment and software appropriate for assigned tasks, while learning to perform routine and non-routine maintenanceProvides input and participates in project meetingsPerforms assigned workload on a daily basis and effectively completes multiple assignments.Contributes to a cohesive team environment and maintains a positive attitude. Plans individual workload in coordination with team members.Maintains a safe and clean laboratory work environmentIdentifies deviations, problems, determines appropriate actions, and implements solutions with support or independently as appropriate.Applies GMP/GLP in all areas, as appropriateAble to adapt to new procedures or particular needs as directed.Knowledge of departmental procedures and policiesViewed as a resource within their teamQualificationsBS Degree in Chemistry, Biochemistry, or related science field2+ years experienceMicrosoft Excel ProficientIndependent and flexible/adaptable individual to manage multiple ongoing projectsPreferredExperience with HPLC and/or separationExperience with ELISA or other plate based assaysExperience with buffer prep and basic laboratory mathAbility to perform tasks (such as pipetting) with high accuracyExperience troubleshooting equipment would be beneficialThe ideal candidate will be willing to grow their skills and take on new responsibilities and challenges within their team
