Piper Companies is currently seeking a Biomed Linear Specialist II for an opportunity in Allentown, PA to join a local, diverse, nationally recognized health network servicing the area.

This specialist will provides advanced levels of equipment and/or departmental service and support. Performs preventive maintenance, quality assurance inspections, installation, testing, calibration, troubleshooting, repair, and general maintenance on imaging and diagnostic equipment, Linear Accelerator equipment, and related technologies.

Shift Mon- Friday 6AM-2:30PM

Responsibilities:

• Completes the preventive maintenance (PM) workload for assigned equipment to achieve a consistently high level of PM compliance over time.
• Performs database management functions with regard to maintaining accurate device control records and entering complete and accurate scheduled and non-scheduled work-order data.
• Evaluates the extent/source of repairs on malfunctioning equipment and determines the course of action needed to cost-effectively maximize equipment uptime.
• Identifies and obtains parts, supplies, and other technical resource materials required to service, maintain, test, and repair equipment at the lowest possible cost.
• Performs repairs on defective or malfunctioning equipment.
• Provides in-service training to other clinical engineering service technicians.
• Assists with, evaluates, and monitors the work performed by outside service providers.

Qualifications:

• 3+ years of pharmaceutical or medical device industry experience in equipment qualification, commissioning, and validation
• 4-5 years of experience performing first call type support and maintenance on both general and model-specific equipment in the Linear Accelerator imaging field
  • Military background with Radar might transfer
• OR 4-5 years experience Biomed Equipment Tech II or higher experience with hands-on experience performing first call type support and maintenance on both general and model-specific medical equipment.
• Experience working with TruBeam and or Varian Edge LINACS
• Able to participates in on-call rotation and upgrade support.
• DL - Driver's License_PA - State of Pennsylvania
• CRES - Radiology Equipment Specialist - State of Pennsylvania
• Bachelor's or higher degree in Electronics, Biomed Engineering or related

Compensation:

• Salary Range : $120,000-$130,000, Commensurate to Experience
• Benefits :Medical, Dental, Vision, 401K, PTO, Sick Leave if required by law, and Holidays
