Job Summary:
We are seeking a Maintenance Automation Technician to join our team. This role is crucial in ensuring the efficiency and reliability of our automation systems by performing installation, troubleshooting, and maintenance of various automated components. The ideal candidate will have technical expertise and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
Key Responsibilities:
- Install, maintain, and replace automation systems in the production process.
- Troubleshoot and repair servos, sensors, and control components.
- Maintain logs for equipment usage, parts replacement, and scheduled maintenance.
- Provide periodic reports to leadership regarding automation capabilities and system status.
- Implement and oversee a preventative maintenance program.
- Operate hand tools, power tools, and specialized equipment safely and effectively.
- Analyze machine performance with production staff to identify and resolve inconsistencies.
- Conduct performance testing as needed to ensure optimal equipment functionality.
- Follow all safety protocols to maintain a secure work environment.
- Maintain work orders and machine record logs.
- Support daily housekeeping procedures and perform other assigned duties.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Required:
- 2+ years of experience programming 6-axis robots.
- 2+ years of experience working with vision systems.
- 2+ years of experience in automation systems.
- Preferred:
- Experience operating a mill.
- Ability to interpret blueprints, schematics, and operational manuals (2+ years preferred).
- Education:
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Robotics, or a related technical field. (preferred)
Skills & Competencies:
- Mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
- Ability to design and build new automation systems in addition to maintaining existing ones.
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints and technical documents.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
- Adherence to safety regulations and best practices.
