A Little More About What You Will be DoingThe Cardiac Sonographer Level I, supports patient care by performing echocardiogram procedures as directed by the physician. Demonstrates proficiency with the use of ultrasound equipment and associated procedures. This position performs routine administrative and clinical tasks to keep the offices of physicians and other health practitioners running efficiently.Performs a range of technical procedures to support physician’s diagnosisAppropriately acquire echocardiographic measurements per protocol, create digital preliminary reports and verbally communicate preliminary findings to the interpreting physicianReviews physician order to verify appropriateness for order being performedRetrieve studies from PACS for reviewAssures accuracy data for clinical reports, demographics and billing information for physician reports

QualificationsEducationHigh school diploma or GED requiredGraduation from a CAAHEP or other accredited diagnostic ultrasound program required or 5 years of diagnostic ultrasound experience required

Experience~1 year of experience in the field preferred

Licenses/CertificationBasic Life Support (BLS) from American Heart Association or American Red Cross requiredRegistered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer (RDCS) preferred
