*We are seeking a competent, experienced leader to serve as a QAPI/Infection Preventionist Nurse in our 216-bed Health Care Center.*

*Brief Job Description:*This position is responsible for planning and overseeing comprehensive quality assurance and infection control programs to ensure compliance with state and federally mandated nursing and resident quality care standards in a long term care setting. This individual will perform a variety of compliance functions, including those related to staff development, in-service training, quality assurance, resident review and infection control.

*Qualifications:*

· Registered Nurse, current, unrestricted license in good standing with VA DHP.

· Nursing Degree from an accredited institution.

· Previous experience in quality assurance and staff development preferred.

· LTC experience preferred.

· Detail oriented, with strengths in dealing with residents, families, supervisors and nursing personnel.

· Strong interpersonal skills are essential.
