Key Responsibilities:
Clerical Duties:
* Manage patient admissions, discharges, and transfers, ensuring all documentation is accurate and complete.
* Maintain and update patient records, charts, and files, ensuring confidentiality and compliance with regulations.
* Answer and direct phone calls, relay messages, and assist visitors.
* Coordinate with various departments to facilitate patient care and unit operations.
* Prepare and process forms, reports, and correspondence as required.
* Order and manage inventory of office supplies and medical equipment.
Patient Care Duties:
* Assist patients with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, grooming, and feeding.
* Measure and record vital signs such as temperature, blood pressure, and pulse.
* Assist with patient mobility, including turning, positioning, and transporting patients.
* Provide emotional support and companionship to patients and their families.
* Maintain a clean, safe, and comfortable environment for patients.
* Communicate effectively with patients, families, and the healthcare team to ensure coordinated care.:
Qualifications:
* High school diploma or equivalent required.
* Active Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification in Florida.
* Minimum of 1 year of experience as a CNA; clerical experience in a healthcare setting is preferred.
* Skills:
* Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and electronic health records (EHR) systems.
* Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
