A Registered Nurse (RN) provides direct nursing care in an outpatient clinic, including patient assessments, care planning, education, and evaluation. This role involves coordinating care among various healthcare team members to ensure a smooth flow of patient services within a recognized healthcare network. The RN also possesses essential knowledge in patient/family teaching, medication administration, and the use of medical equipment, along with strong communication and adaptability skills.

Provides direct nursing care, in an outpatient clinic including assessments, care plan, education, and evaluation for assigned patients. Performs patient duties necessary to maintain the flow of patient care as well as coordinates the delivery of care provided by other care team members and disciplines.

Required Skills

  • Strong verbal, written and computer skills.
  • Knowledge of medical terminology, infection control and safety.
  • Adaptability.
  • Principles of patient/family teaching.
  • Knowledge and experience with administering of IV and PO drugs and their possible adverse reactions.
  • Knowledge of diagnostic test and their preparations.
  • Knowledge in the legal aspects of nursing.
  • Knowledge and demonstrated skill using special equipment such as monitors, oxygen equipment, SPO2 monitors, EKG machines, defibrillators, etc.
  • Honest, dependable, conscientious.
  • Excellent communication skills.

Required Experience

Required:

  • Current California RN license
  • Evidence of continuing education
  • Prior experience in, ambulatory care nursing
  • Current American Heart Association BLS and ACLS Certification
  • 12 Lead electrocardiogram and arrhythmia detection knowledge
  • Bilingual English/Korean communication skills

 

Preferred:

  • BSN/MSN
  • Cardiology Experience
