Location: Lancaster General Hospital Shift: 2nd Shift, 40 hours/week FTE: 1.0 Position Summary: Responsible for functioning as the dispatcher of the Security Operations Center for LG Health. Qualified individuals must have the ability with or without reasonable accommodation to perform the following duties: The Security Operations Center SOC serves as a central hub for receiving security assistance calls Dispatches and tracks Hospital Security Officers on Emergent and non-emergent Events. Operating a radio dispatch center for incoming and outgoing communications. Elevate response to local emergency responders as necessary if the incident exceeds internal capabilities in alignment with HICS standards . Monitoring access control operations. Monitoring Burglar alarms. Providing staff protection and patient elopement monitoring. Overseeing a video surveillance center for camera monitoring. The SOC is responsible for managing computer-aided dispatching CAD and incident reporting applications. Follows Emergency Procedures Guidelines Code; K, H, Blue, Grey, Condition 8, red, yellow, green, amber, and Black . The following duties are considered secondary to the primary duties listed above: Provide directions to LGH for patients and visitors. License plate and employee parking sticker information look up. Coordinates requests for county emergency resources to LGH. When external resources are provided, the LGH SOC's role is to bridge communications with the facility operations teams and external ops teams until a unified command is otherwise established. Computer Experience Windows Word, Excel Computer Aided Dispatch CAD One 1 year of experience in EMS, Emergency Dispatching, Police, Fire, or Security; and or one 1 year working with police, hospital and or community transport.
