You will join a creative and solutions-oriented team collaborating with internal teams at Scale and externally with our customers to build out the International Public Sector business. The ideal candidate will have significant experience negotiating complex international commercial and government agreements, but sufficient business and common sense to serve as a jack of all trades providing practical guidance to solve a broad scope of complex, time-sensitive problems in close partnership with a variety of cross-functional teams.You will:

Draft, review, and negotiate commercial agreements with global entities, working closely with our Sales organization to close revenue dealsDraft, review, and negotiate a wide range of other agreements, including partnership, vendor agreements, and DPAsPartner closely with our international sales teams to drive deals and the business forward across diverse geographiesServe as the lead point of legal contact for our International Public Sector team, providing practical legal counsel to sales, product, engineering, and marketing teamsPartner closely and manage relationships with international and regional outside counsel, and government agenciesBuild strong relationships with Legal counterparts on Commercial and Product teams to ensure consistent risk calibration and legal guidance cross-companyDesign, implement, and iterate on policies and processes to manage legal and business risk on a global scaleIdeally you'd have:

JD or equivalent and authorized to practice law in relevant jurisdictionsAt least 8+ years of experience as a practicing attorney, including law firm, in-house, or government experience with training in commercial agreementsWorked at or closely with GCC-based enterprisesPassion for partnering with Sales and closing revenue dealsExperience with drafting and negotiating complex enterprise SaaS agreements and data processing agreementsAn ability to communicate clearly with business and technical audiences and effectively translate legal concepts for non-lawyersRoll-up-your-sleeves attitude to tackle projects large and small and a collaborative, low-ego approach to working across the organizationDeep interest in artificial intelligence, generative AI, and machine learning technology and applicationsNice to haves:

Proficiency in Arabic (spoken and written)Experience with legal issues related to AI/machine learning and/or the on-demand economyProduct or privacy counseling experienceExperience with international commerce and trade
