Tax DirectorEssential FunctionsReview federal and state income tax returns for individuals, trusts, non-profits, partnerships, C corps, S corpsAnalyze tax implications for individual/business tax returnsResponsible for quarterly and year-end tax planningManage tax departmentScheduling responsibilities for tax teamMentor tax staff and seniorsCollaborate with other departments to ensure firm goals are met as a wholeReview tax proposals and submit to potential clientsParticipate in business development activitiesIdentify opportunities for the development of new servicesIdentify organizations or associations to network and develop business contactsParticipate in client visitationsOther duties as assignedEducation & ExperienceCurrent and valid Certified Public Accountant (CPA) license requiredBachelor’s degree with emphasis in Accounting8+ years of Public Accounting experienceMaster of Science degree in Taxation or JD highly preferredProficient in Lacerte, RIA, BNA as well as other accounting software
