Primary Care Physician - Locum Tenens Opportunity

Schedule & Coverage

• Shift Type: Day shifts (hours may vary between 7 AM - 7 PM)
• Estimated Shifts: 20 shifts
• Estimated Hours: 160 hours per month

Job Description

• Setting: Public service outpatient clinic serving homeless and underserved populations
• Patient Volume: 10-12 patients per day
• Patient Population: Mostly adults (some pediatric and adolescent care)
• EMR System: Epic
• Support Staff: 6 mid-level providers
• Supervision: Not required
• Emergency Duties: No in-house codes or ED backup (Defibrillator available)
• Required Procedures:
• Pelvic exams
• Pap smears
• Employment physicals

Additional Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care for children and adults (HIV experience preferred but not required)
• Must be willing to train in HIV care and Integrated Behavioral Health (not primary duties but may cover these areas)
• Ensure compliance with CLIA, HIPAA, PCER, and OSHA regulations
• Adhere to clinical protocols and quality assurance standards
• Assist in overseeing physician dispensary and medical materials under GA physician s license in the absence of the Medical Director

Requirements

• Active GA License & DEA
• Board Certified in Family Medicine or Internal Medicine
• Medical Degree from a State-Approved School
• Minimum 5+ Years Post-Training Experience
• BLS Certification
• Local Candidates Only (No additional travel reimbursement beyond mileage)
• Bilingual (Spanish) Highly Preferred
• Experience Treating Medically Underserved, Immigrant, and Homeless Populations Highly Preferred
• Experience Supervising Professional Staff and/or Administrative Experience Highly Preferred
