Schedule

• Monday-Friday includes clinic and GI procedures (colonoscopy and UGI)
  • Mon-Tue could be a combination of clinic and procedures or only clinic. (clinic shifts are 8 hours)
  • Wed-Fri is all procedures-no clinic
  • Friday may only be 1/2 day of procedures or could be a full day
• There will be 1 day of 24 hour call, typically on Tuesday
• No weekends
• Specific Dates:
  • April 7-11, May 27-30, June 2-6, June 23-27, July 21-25, July 28-August 1, August 4-8, August 18-22, August 25-29, September 29-October 3, October 6-10, October 20-24, November 3-7, November 24-28, December 1-5

• Practice settings: outpatient and inpatient
• Patients per shift: 15
• Beds in department: 5
• Admissions required
• Rounding patients: assigned
• Trauma level 3

Requirements

• Active WI License or IMLC
• Fellowship - Preferred
• BLS
• Required Skills: Upper GI endoscopy (with biopsy, with foreign body removal, with fulguration of bleeder (cautery vs. laser), With injection of varices), Small Bowel biopsy, Lower GI endoscopy, Colonoscopy (with biopsy)
• Preferred Skills: Sigmoidoscopy (Flexible, Rigid), Colonoscopy (with excision of polyp), Endoscopic ultrasound (EUS), Liver biopsy, Insertion/management of Sengstaken/Blakemore tube
