Typical day: start with a census of 16 and receive 1-2 additional patients throughout the day in the form of a consultation, admission or transfer; no additional assignments after 1800
Average 15-20 encounters per shift with target of 17
Join 16-17 Hospitalists on shift during the days
EMR is EPIC
Dedicated admitter ( Swing ) starting daily at 1300
No procedures
Locum physician expected to respond to a Code Blue on an assigned patient, but not a designated member of the Code Team
Board Certification and South Carolina license required
