Job SummaryWe are seeking a Human Resources professional to join our team at The Georgian Hotel in beautiful Santa Monica as our Director of Human Resources. The hotel recently completed a transformational renovation and is being relaunched as the premier luxury lifestyle hotel in Santa Monica.The Director of Human Resources is charged with cultivating top-notch talent in an engaging atmosphere that embodies the essence to fulfill the most discerning guests’ expectations. This individual is a culture ambassador for our team members and a servant leader and coach for our leaders.Qualifications:Are you ready for the next step in your career? Our ideal candidate will have experience managing Human Resources in a hotel as well as experience that involved interacting with a full range of employees (hourly to leaders).The minimum qualifications for this position are:A minimum of five years’ experience within human resources, preferably in a generalist roleAbility to effectively present information in one-on-one and group situationsAbility to consistently display courtesy, etiquette, warmth and enthusiasm on the phone and in personAbility to handle multiple and changing priorities in a professional mannerAbility to objectively coach employees and management through complex, difficult and emotional issuesMust possess strong communication and listening skills, excellent speaking, reading and writing skillsAbility to handle complex issues encountered using knowledge acquired through training and experienceDemonstrated ability to gain the trust and confidence of managers and employees and influence the organizationAbility to diagnose organizational issues and implement creative solutionsAnalytical skills with demonstrated ability to translate data to insight and then into actionStrong computer skills including intermediate or above knowledge of Microsoft Office programsMultiple language abilities preferred.
