Reporting to the Director, Assistant General Counsel, you will negotiate Master Services Agreements, Business Associate Agreements (BAAs), NDAs, SOWs, and other key contracts with healthcare and life sciences customers. This role requires expertise in healthcare transactions and related regulatory frameworks such as HIPAA.What You’ll Do
Negotiate and draft contracts with HLS customers, ensuring compliance with privacy, data security, and regulatory requirements.Partner with cross-functional teams (sales, finance, product, compliance) to drive revenue-generating transactions while mitigating risks.Streamline contracting processes, improving templates, terms, and workflows to support high-scale transactions.Advise on legal and business risks, becoming a subject matter expert on customer transactions in the HLS vertical.Support strategic initiatives and OKRs, including contract management improvements and special projects across the legal team.Who You Are
Bachelor’s Degree, or equivalent.5+ years of contract negotiation experience in SaaS and healthcare/life sciences at a high-growth technology company.Demonstrated knowledge of HIPAA, data privacy, and healthcare regulations, requirements, and related contracting tactics.Process-oriented mindset with experience improving contracting workflows.Ability to communicate effectively with internal teams, government stakeholders, and external counsel.Pay Range TransparencyDatabricks is committed to fair and equitable compensation practices. The pay range(s) for this role is listed below and represents base salary range for non-commissionable roles or on-target earnings for commissionable roles. Actual compensation packages are based on several factors that are unique to each candidate, including but not limited to job-related skills, depth of experience, relevant certifications and training, and specific work location. Based on the factors above, Databricks utilizes the full width of the range.
