Locums - Fort Myers, Florida, GI Hospitalist Openings
  • Clinical Role:
    • Do you know someone that might be a good fit for this position? Please ask about our generous referral fees!

    • Inpatient daily 24-hour call coverage hours- Monday- Sunday 7am-7 am

    • Need 2 locum Inpatient Gastroenterology providers for coverage for a possibility of 4 different locations
    • Call coverage needs depending on location, may be nightly, may be every other night. At least one week per month coverage. Provider covers one location per day and ideally 1 location per stretch of dates. We do ask for flexibility to move between locations but do NOT generally ask for travel mid-day.
    • Job Description: GI Inpatient Hospitalist. Consults, follow ups, scopes
    • Patients per day: 10-20
    • Support Staff: Advanced Practitioners, hospital support
    • Procedures required: Colonoscopy, Endoscopy.
    • ERCP / EUS is preferred, but not required
    • Additional surgical staff: Endoscopy unit with full staff
    • Gastroenterology - Applicants for initial appointment must be able to demonstrate inpatient or consultative services for at least 50 patients during the past 12 months
    • EUS - Required previous experience: Demonstrated current competence and evidence of the performance of at least 24 EUS procedures (mucosal/submucosal, pancreaticobiliary, and EUS-guided fine needle aspirations) in the past 36 months
    • Providers must have an active FL license, clean background and clean NPDB (no entries), IMLC is accepted require LOQ with CV submission
    • Must be Board Certified
    • Must meet all procedure log requirements to be booked
    • We also have these OUTPATIENT GI locums dates open:March 10-14 (M-F), March 25-28 (T-F)
    • Must allow 30 days for credentialing
