Food manufacturer in the local Parma Heights, OH area is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Production Planner to join their team.

In this role, you will be responsible for developing and executing production plans that meet customer demand while optimizing resource utilization and minimizing costs.

You will collaborate closely with various departments, including sales, procurement, manufacturing, and logistics, to ensure smooth and efficient production processes.Responsibilities: Develop and maintain master production schedules (MPS) that align with sales forecasts, customer orders, and inventory targets. Create detailed production plans, considering capacity constraints, material availability, and lead times. Monitor and analyze production performance against the plan, identifying and addressing any deviations or bottlenecks. Collaborate with procurement to ensure timely delivery of raw materials and components. Work with manufacturing to optimize production schedules and improve efficiency. Coordinate with sales and customer service to understand customer requirements and ensure on-time delivery. Manage inventory levels, minimizing excess stock while preventing stockouts. Analyze production data and identify opportunities for process improvement and cost reduction. Prepare and present production reports to management. Participate in cross-functional teams to address production challenges and implement solutions. Maintain accurate production records and documentation. Stay up-to-date on industry best practices and new technologies in production planning. Other duties as assigned. Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Engineering, or a related field preferred.

Proven experience as a Production Planner (e.g., 2+ years for mid-level, 5+ years for senior level - adjust as needed). Strong understanding of production planning principles and techniques. Proficiency in using MRP/ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, NetSuite - specify if applicable). Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Detail-oriented and highly organized.

Proficient in Microsoft Excel. APICS certification (e.g., CPIM) is a plus
