PrideStaff is looking for a Dispatcher/Customer Service Representative for a local Logistics Company. Temp-to-Hire | $17-18/hr M - F | 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM | On-Call Rotation. A Dispatcher is responsible for ensuring on time delivery and order updates to all customers as well as scheduling orders, routing, and providing customer service.
Responsibilities - Keep all internal & external portals updated with job statuses to meet KPIs.
- Perform dispatch duties such as, calling in drivers, keeping track of job status and updating all customer portals.
- Coordinate all dispatching of customer orders to drivers.
- Maintain and monitor all order activity including accurate and complete order entry.
- Monitor and record order progress from start to finish.
- Assists customers with order inquires, which may include confirmations, status updates, order & delivery issues or any other order related inquiry.
- Schedule orders with consignees according to account and order requirements.
- Route orders for maximum efficiency while taking into account varying account requirements.
- Provide customer service to customers as well as consignees.
- When on call, the dispatcher will be responsible for pulling parts from warehouse, completing documents, preparing parts for delivery, updating order statuses and monitoring for complete and proper completion.
- Assist warehouse staff as needed.
- Monitor dock and warehouse activity as needed.
Requirements - Accurate and expedient data entry is required.
- Strong customer service skills required.
- Must understand multiple and varying written procedures.
- Strong attention to detail is a MUST.
- Ability to multitask and thrive in a fast paced environment is essential.
- The ability to analyze data and make sound decisions.
- Sharp attention to details; accurate documentation skills.
- Proficient with computers, including: Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, and ability to pick up new and required programs.
- Ability to problem solve and think quickly to come up with solutions to problems.
- Must have the ability to adapt and conform to shifting priorities and demands and execute accordingly.
- Good written and verbal communication, customer service, organizational, time management and problem-solving skills are required.
- Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
- High School Diploma or Equivalent
- Previous dispatch and customer service experience is a plus, but not required.
- Willing to submit to a background check and drug screen
