It is a training site for future healthcare professionals attending over twenty colleges and educational institutions in the tri-state area of southwestern WV, with a maximum capacity of 110-beds.

Requirements:

Qualified applicants MUST have at least 1 years of experience, preferably in a psych, corrections or similar setting, have a valid RN license and be willing to obtain WV and/or compact licensure.

As a Registered Nurse in a state psychiatric setting, you’ll play a crucial role in providing comprehensive healthcare services to institutionalized individuals, promoting their well-being and rehabilitation. This position works in partnership with a team of state psychiatric staff and allows you to make a meaningful difference in the lives of patients. Responsibilities include:

Assessing patient health status, developing care plans, and implementing nursing interventions as needed

Administering medications and treatments according to physician orders and established protocols

Monitoring patient vital signs, symptoms, and responses to treatment, adjusting care plans as necessary

Collaborating with healthcare team members, correctional staff, and community resources to ensure continuity of care

Documenting patient assessments, interventions, and outcomes accurately and timely
