*OVERVIEW*:
To manage and coordinate MDS assessments and plans of care individualized to each resident by incorporating all aspects of the individual resident’s needs and establishing approaches for the resident to meet those goals, along with periodic reviews to measure progress, in accordance with company policies, standards of nursing practices, and government regulations.
*Implementation:*
Must be a licensed Registered Nurse (RN) in good standing and currently licensed by the State.
Must be at least 18 years of age. Must be able to read, write, and follow oral and written directions at a level necessary to accomplish the job. Must be able to relate positively and favorably to residents, families, government regulators, and to work cooperatively with other employee at all levels. Must be able to speak and understand English. Must be capable of maintaining regular attendance. Must meet all local regulations and pass post-employment physical exam if required. Must be capable of performing the essential job functions of this job, with or without reasonable accommodations. Related experience at a level necessary to accomplish the job.
Carries out, coordinates, or manages administrative functions and areas or programs related to nursing services which may include departmental documentation or medical records; ancillary supplies or services; facility PI; care plans; MDS; restorative care; skin care program; selection, training, orientation or related function; and such duties may include supervision of other staff. Work with or support DON and administrator in planning all aspects of resident care to include coordination with other disciplines and departments. May assist DON in managing nursing care to monitor day-to-day operation of nursing functions, and to establish priorities and manage records. Assist or support the DON in managing nursing care to include monitoring quality of care and resident activity, assessment of resident’s status, administration of medication and treatments, admissions and discharges; and to consult with family members, physicians, and other health care professionals. Fills in as acting DON (RN only), charge nurse, or other nursing positions as needed with limited or full authority as appropriate. Supports and assists DON to ensure compliance with State, Federal, and QAPI standards, to include alerting management to potential non-compliance issues, and preparation of corrections plans. Supervise, conducts, and participates in department and facility education activities and staff meeting. Other duties as assigned.
Develops positive relationships on behalf of the company with government regulators, families, area health care community and the community at large.

Monitor environment for established safety, fire and disaster, infection control and all other departmental policies and procedures are followed; and to ensure cleanliness and safety of work and treatment areas.
