Job Description for Travel Nurse RN PCU - Progressive Care Unit
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Registered Nurse (RN) to join our team as a travel nurse in the Progressive Care Unit (PCU) setting. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care and working collaboratively with other healthcare professionals.
Key Responsibilities:
- Patient Care: Provide direct patient care to critically ill patients requiring close monitoring and medical interventions.
- Assessment and Planning: Conduct comprehensive assessments of patients' physical, emotional, and social needs, and develop individualized care plans to meet their unique requirements.
- Collaboration and Communication: Work effectively with the interdisciplinary team to coordinate patient care, communicate changes in patient status, and participate in unit-based decision-making processes.
- Education and Support: Educate patients and their families on disease management, treatment options, and self-care techniques, and provide emotional support throughout the care process.
Requirements:
- Credentials: Current licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN) in the state of Florida.
- Experience: At least 1 year of experience in a PCU or similar critical care setting.
- Skillset: Strong clinical skills, excellent communication and teamwork abilities, and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
