NORTH CAROLINA, Coast

Coverage Needed:

Full-time coverage needed beginning June :00pm - July 15th (end time TBD)

Monday Friday, 6:45 am to 3:15 pm

Weeknight call and weekend call included

Orientation - Friday, June 7 (Tentative)

Details:

• Both Inpatient and Outpatient
• 8 10 hour work day
• Night Call 3-4 week + 6-8 hour/weekend
• Call schedule 1: Nightly when scheduled
• Call shared with 1 MD and 3 CRNA s
• Must be able to start surgery within 30 minutes of call back
• Approx. # of patients/day/provider: 10-20
• # of Surgical Cases per month: 250
• ICU / Critical Care Duties
• 10 Intubation and Cardioversions
• Required to serve back up in ER (Called for difficult Intubations & Spinals)
• LT MDA will respond to codes
• LT MDA will be expected to serve as back up in the ER
• Procedures: General Anesthesia/Blocks/Regional Anesthesia, Labor Epidurals shared with CRNAs, Emergency Airway Management, Intubations, Invasive Lines, Cardioversions, Consults, & Epidurals for OB Services
• BLS, ACLS and PALS/APLS Required

Hospital Information:

• 114-bed hospital
• 3 OR suites
• Emergency Department (15 beds)
• 21,000 patients per year
• 24 hour rotational shifts
• Air and Ground Support to immediately transfer patients
