Job Details Responsibilities:
As the Permanent Director of Preconstruction, your primary responsibilities will include:
1. Overseeing all preconstruction activities, ensuring that all projects are meticulously planned, budgeted, and prepared for successful execution.
2. Providing leadership and direction to the preconstruction team, fostering a collaborative and productive work environment.
3. Developing and managing project budgets, cost estimations, and financial forecasts.
4. Conducting detailed concrete estimations and preparing comprehensive preconstruction planning documents.
5. Leading contract negotiations with clients, vendors, and subcontractors to secure the most advantageous terms.
6. Collaborating with other department heads and stakeholders to align preconstruction plans with overall business strategies and objectives.
7. Making informed decisions based on project specifications, budget constraints, and company goals.
8. Ensuring compliance with all industry regulations, standards, and best practices.
9. Continuously evaluating and improving preconstruction processes and procedures to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
Qualifications:
To be successful in this role, you will need:
1. A minimum of 5+ years of experience in preconstruction, construction management, or a related field.
2. Proven experience in concrete estimating, budgeting, cost estimation, and contract negotiation.
3. Exceptional leadership skills with the ability to manage and motivate a team.
4. Strong strategic planning and decision-making abilities.
5. Comprehensive knowledge of construction industry regulations, standards, and best practices.
6. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
7. The ability to work effectively under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
8. A degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field is preferred.
