The X-Ray Technician plays a crucial role in the healthcare industry by providing essential diagnostic imaging services. This full-time position is ideal for candidates seeking to start a career in radiology, as no prior experience is required, and on-the-job training will be provided. The technician will be responsible for operating X-ray equipment to produce images of the patient's internal structures, which will assist physicians in diagnosing and treating various conditions. Candidates must hold an ARRT certification and a valid Radiology Technician License to ensure they meet industry standards of practice. The ideal X-Ray Technician will exhibit strong attention to detail, excellent interpersonal skills, and a commitment to maintaining patient safety and comfort throughout the imaging process.

KeyResponsibilities:

Perform Diagnostic Imaging:

• Operate X-ray machinery to capture images of patients as directed by physicians.
• Ensure accurate positioning and exposure settings for optimal image quality.

Patient Care and Communication:

• Prepare patients for X-ray procedures, explaining the process to alleviate any concerns.
• Maintain a calm and professional demeanor to create a comfortable environment.

Equipment Maintenance:

• Conduct regular checks on X-ray machinery to ensure safety and functionality.
• Report malfunctioning equipment and assist in arranging repairs as needed.

Record Keeping and Reporting:

• Maintain accurate patient records and imaging results according to facility protocols.
• Ensure compliance with health regulations and maintain patient confidentiality.

Collaboration with Healthcare Teams:

• Work closely with physicians and nursing staff to deliver efficient patient care.
• Participate in team meetings to discuss and improve imaging services.

Professional Development:

• Engage in continuous education and training to stay updated with industry advancements.
• Participate in workshops and seminars when available to enhance skills.

Experience/Qualifications:

Education:

• Completion of a radiologic technology program accredited by the ARRT.

Experience:

• No prior experience is required; on-the-job training will be provided.

Skills:

• Strong attention to detail and excellent technical skills in operating imaging equipment.
• Good communication skills for effectively interacting with patients and team members.

Certifications:
