Black Forest Labs is a cutting-edge startup pioneering generative image and video models. Our team, which invented Latent Diffusion, Stable Diffusion, Stable Video Diffusion, and FLUX.1 , is currently seeking a talented Head of Finance to build out the finance function for Black Forest Labs. As our Head of Finance you’ll be responsible for our day to day financial planning, managing budgeting/spend, forecasting, reporting, etc. As the first dedicated Finance person, you will be working closely with the CEO and the executive team to set the direction for the company’s finance org and long term growth.The role is located in one of our key hubs (San Francisco, Germany or London) as a preference.Role

Develop, implement and continuously refine financial models and forecasts to support the company's strategic objectivesCreate rolling forecasts to adapt to business dynamics and ensure flexibility in planningDesign and implement scalable financial controls and accounting infrastructureLead financial strategy and consolidated reporting across multiple business entities while ensuring regulatory complianceOversee all aspects of financial operations including AR/AP, monthly bookkeeping and reconciliationLead tax and compliance efforts alongside third-party vendors and partnersManage cash flow planning and optimizationPartner with cross-functional teams to provide financial insights that drive business decisionsSupport strategic initiatives, including pricing strategies and longer-term financial planningEstablish efficient processes that can scale with BFL's growthIdeal Experience

5-10 years of relevant FP&A experience, with a very deep mastery of all nuances of accounting, and ideally at a fast growing B2B companyStrong understanding of multi-entity, international financial operationsDeep expertise in financial modeling, planning, and analysisExperience in scaling finance operations and implementing ERP systems in high-growth environments without a large team around youKnowledge of transfer pricing principles and their impact on financial reportingProfessional accounting qualification (CPA, ACCA, or equivalent), Advanced degree in Finance, Accounting, or related fieldOutstanding communication abilities with both technical and non-technical stakeholdersExcitement about working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and adapt well to changeExperience working with both API and licensing based revenue modelsNice to have
