This is your opportunity to grow professionally in a dynamic, global environment, surrounded by forward-thinking peers.Reporting to the Director of Collections, the Manager of Collections will lead all aspects of the Firm’s revenue and cash collections for their assigned partners with a goal of ensuring timely revenue realization for the Firm. This role requires a proactive approach to managing client accounts, billing attorneys and direct reports. Core management responsibilities will include commitment to excellence as demonstrated through continuous staff development, coaching and training, and assessment of talent and skills. Incumbent will identify areas of efficiencies and process improvement, including opportunities to leverage technology to eliminate manual processes and increase effectiveness of team.As the Collections Manager, you will lead all aspects of the Firm’s cash collections and will be essential in helping achieve departmental goals. The manager will have extensive experience in legal collections and will be responsible for leading the US office collections team in order to ensure timely and accurate collections, cash applications and trust transactions for the Firm. The Manager will also be responsible for reporting to upper management status on aged receivables. Core responsibilities will include commitment to excellence as demonstrated through continuous staff development by promoting and enhancing employee engagement, client service, knowledge, skills and morale.

What You’ll Do:

Manage the U.S. Collectors and oversee coordination of staff responsibilities. Allocate and monitor work assignments to the team. Oversee and facilitate the annual review process for the Collections/Cash Receipts/Trust Department.Manage and inspire the Collections team in developing and documenting best practices in the performance of all duties and responsibilities.Participate in regular Collection Department meetings, monitor collections issues and concerns, and assist in directing the departments to achieve departmental and firm initiatives and goals.Establish internal procedures for processing cash receipt application and collection activity in accordance with Firm policy.Interact with billing attorneys and secretaries regarding all aspects of collection services and procedures, including following up with partners regarding aged receivables, and communicating with Firm Management, Business Unit Leaders and Business Unit Directors to escalate at-risk accounts when necessary.Work closely with billing attorneys in achieving monthly/yearly Firm targets, while monitoring and securing the integrity of aged receivables.Assist in the development of best practices and processes to support collections and cash receipts.Manage the Firm-wide quarterly collection initiatives and annual fiscal year-end forecasting process.Act as a reviewer and approver of outgoing wire transactions for current and ongoing client funds/trust accounts.Oversee the Collections team during quarterly and annual billing initiatives to ensure Firm goals are met.Oversee the coordination of daily and month-end processes and reporting relating to Firm billing and cash postings, prebill distributions, quarterly collection pushes, aged work-in-progress and receivable clean-up, write-down and write-off approval processes, monthly reserve reporting, and fiscal year-end forecasting.Respond to high volume of Management, Partner, and client requests relating to billing/collection inquiries and reporting.Reconcile client accounts as needed and provide analyses when necessary.Who You Are:
