Summary:

Neuberger Berman is an employee-owned global investment management firm with $481 billion in assets under management. Within this business, is NB Specialty Finance ("NBSF"), a leading strategy that lends within the asset-based finance markets. Both NBSF and the overall business it sits within are experiencing rapid growth and expected to be a key growth focus of NB Private Markets.

The team is seeking a Senior Associate or Vice President team member dedicated to NBSF to act as a fund specialist, managing and coordinating all prospect/client-related matters and other non-investment needs. A successful candidate will need to have an entrepreneurial spirit with the ability to think creatively. This role requires the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and handle a high volume of ad hoc requests. Flexibility and quick response times are essential to meet the dynamic needs of the organization. The individual will be a member of the fundraising/marketing team within NB Private Markets and have a wide scope of responsibilities as outlined below.

Key Responsibilities:Develop deep understanding of specialty finance and asset-based lendingServe as a resource for broader sales teams and provide them with tools, content, customized materials, and educationOversee and implement fundraising efforts with investment and sales teams including capital formation activities such as launching data rooms and creating marketing materialsAssist with project management during fundraises, including due diligence questionnaires and data room monitoringProvide frequent fundraising, portfolio, and pipeline updates to the global sales teamCreate, update, and maintain all marketing materials, including presentations and informational documentsRespond to RFPs, manage prospect follow-ups, and answer client/prospect inquiriesSpearhead the creation of publications including white papers, blog posts, and podcastsLiaise with investment, sales, legal, finance, operations, and compliance teams globallyCoordinate and sync marketing collateral, strategies, and fundraising activities across officesAbility to be independent and resourceful to answers to questions

This position is for an immediate start, in the Redwood City, California office in the heart of Silicon Valley.

Qualifications:At least 7 years of relevant professional experience within an asset management firm, investment bank, private equity firm, placement agent, and/or consulting firmFamiliarity with various alternative strategies (e.g. Private Equity, Private Credit, Venture Capital, Distressed Debt)Superior Microsoft PowerPoint and Excel skills and experienceResourcefulness and proactiveness, ability to multi-task, team-player attitude and a desire to work on a wide range of projects and manage them effectivelyInitiative and creativity in approach to problem solving and to be resourcefulAbility to move quickly up the learning curveRemarkable attention to detail and strong organizational skillsStrong judgment, maturity and critical thinking skillsExcellent communication; ability to articulate and present ideas effectively both orally and written formInterest in working in an entrepreneurial environment with the ability to take initiative and have creativity in approach to problem solvingExhibits strong dedication to the job and takes ownership of deliverablesIntellectual curiosity and ability to learn fastInterested in developing and managing relationships across all levels of the organizationExcellent academic credentials

Compensation Details:

The salary range for this role is $160,000-$200,000. This is the lowest to highest salary we in good faith believe we would pay for this role at the time of this posting. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range, and the range may be modified in the future. This range is only applicable for jobs to be performed in the job posting location. An employee's pay position within the salary range will be based on several factors including, but limited to, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, geographic location, business sector, performance, shift, travel requirements, sales or revenue-based metrics, market benchmarking data, any collective bargaining agreements, and business or organizational needs. This job is also eligible for a discretionary bonus, which, along with base salary and retirement contributions, is part of our total comprehensive package. We offer a comprehensive package of benefits including paid time off, medical/dental/vision insurance, 401(k), life insurance and other benefits to eligible employees.
