Job Title: Materials Coordinator
Contract Duration: 6 Months
Pay range: $19 - 19.50/hr
Location: San Diego, CA
Work Type: Onsite, Monday - Friday 5:45 am to 2:15 pm
Summary of Duties and Responsibilities:
The Materials Coordinator performs the logistics of all materials, samples, supplies, pallets, trays, and containers from the warehouse to the production rooms, and vice versa, as well as movements within the rooms.
The incumbent may be asked to perform other function-related activities in addition to the below-mentioned responsibilities as reasonably required by business needs.
Must understand the scheduling tools for each of the corresponding production rooms as well as the logistics of samples, supplies, pallets, trays, and containers.
Move and or transport materials, samples, supplies, pallets, trays, and containers on Broadway as required by the production areas, following all safety precautions.
Move trash, cardboard, and other disposals that are located on Broadway as the business needs require.
Perform material transactions in Oracle.
Follow and make sure others follow visual controls on Broadway, and maintain them in good condition.
Keep the supply of the supermarkets and maintain them add or remove items, and change min and or max quantities as needs change.
Participate in problem-solving of issues that might impact the quality or delay the material moving process.
Escalate, in a timely manner, problems that may impact a production area.
Participate in the accountability meeting of the team.
Assist in training new employees on how to become an effective Material Coordinator.
Keep an eye on unsafe conditions and behaviors and take action immediately when a hazard spot is identified.
The Materials Coordinator contributes to the hazard spots and MyCI goals.
Help promote a safe, performance, and harmonious work environment.
Back-up the Team Lead as required.

Visually inspect components and kits for compliance with specifications, Close vision 20 inches or less will be utilized and some color identification will be required.
Stand; walk; reach with hands and arms; and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
Lifting and or moving and carrying products weighing up to 40 pounds. Occasionally move heavier materials using carts, lift trucks, or pallet jacks
Exposure to moving mechanical parts, vibration, and or moderate noise levels.
Exposure to hazardous chemicals or other materials.
Safety Shoes with Impact and Compression Protection Must be worn especially when operating lift trucks.
Exposure to blood.

Job Qualifications:
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the basic knowledge, skills, and or abilities required:
Qualified to drive forklift and electrical pallet jacks.
Good working knowledge of GMPs.
Knowledgeable of Oracle and Agile.
Basic knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
General understanding of recordkeeping and mathematics.
Required Education:
High School diploma.
Required Experience:
1-3 years of related experience.
Required Skills:
Must be capable of driving pallet jack, electrical pallet jack, forklift, and any other tool or equipment needed to move and or transport materials, samples, supplies, pallets, trays, and containers on Broadway.
Good computer knowledge and skills.

Notes:
Preferably should be approved to use electrical pallet jacks for his/her convenience.
Regular pallet jack use will be required
