    Job Details
  • A hospital in California is looking for an experienced ICU RN for a travel assignment.
  • The right candidate will have 2+ years of experience.
    Job Requirements
  • Hold an active BLS certification.
  • Hold an active ACLS certification.
  • Hold an active PALS certification (preferred).
  • Hold a valid California nursing license.
  • Must have experience with ICP monitoring and ventriculostomies.
    Schedule Information
  • Contract length: 13 weeks.
  • Shifts: 12 hr shifts, schedules made out about 6 weeks in advance.
  • Weekend Requirement: every other weekend.
  • Holidays: no holiday requirement at this time but they may be required to work.
    Unit Specific Information
  • Ratios: 1 to 1-2, 90% of the time will be 1 to 2 ratio.
  • Floating: any of the tele or med-surg units.
  • Floor specific orientation: 1 day on unit.
    Additional Details
  • ACLS, BLS, COVID Vaccine Required (Certification), NIHSS, PALS Preferred.
  • Telemetry, L/D, Emergency and Critical Care RN's will take a proctored Dysrhythmia Test onsite, day one. This is a PASS/FAIL test!
  • Common diagnosis / Types of patients: trauma, neuro-strokes, head injuries, ventriculostomies, ICP monitoring.
  • Candidates must have 2-3 years in specialty, previous travel experience preferred.
  • Unit is fast-paced, must be able to get along well with others.
